If you love a full English breakfast, this croissant version will win you over! Crispy bacon, melted cheddar, spicy baked beans, and a perfectly fried egg come together in a delicious combination that’s both satisfying and full of flavor.
Ingredients (for 2 croissants)
- 2 rashers streaky bacon
- 2 croissants, cut in half horizontally
- 50g grated cheddar
- 200g tin baked beans
- A few dashes Worcestershire sauce
- A few dashes hot sauce (optional)
- 2 eggs
- A little olive oil for frying
Instructions
- Prepare the bacon
Preheat the grill to high. Place the bacon on a baking tray and cook, flipping once, until crispy.
- Prepare the croissants
Place the croissants on a baking tray. Evenly distribute the bacon, grated cheddar, and baked beans onto the bases. Add a few dashes of Worcestershire sauce and hot sauce for extra flavor. Put the tops back on and bake for 10-15 minutes at 200°C, until the croissants are crispy, the cheese has melted, and the beans are bubbling.
- Fry the eggs
Heat a little olive oil in a pan and fry the eggs to your liking.
- Serve
Carefully open the croissants, place a fried egg inside each, and close them back up. Serve immediately with extra hot sauce on the side if desired.
