French Toast: Sweet Breakfast!

A simple, healthy, and sweet twist on classic French Toast! Baked to perfection, it’s crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and pairs wonderfully with honey, fresh fruit, or nuts. A delightful breakfast or light meal for any time of the day!

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg
  • 1 slice of bread (preferably wholemeal or brioche for a sweeter taste)
  • 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon of honey (optional, for added sweetness)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F).
  2. In a bowl, whisk the egg together with the cinnamon and honey until the mixture is smooth and well-combined.
  3. Dip the slice of bread into the egg mixture, ensuring both sides are fully coated and absorb the mixture.
  4. Place the coated bread slice on a baking tray. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy. (Flip the bread halfway through for even baking, if desired.)
  5. Serve warm, topped with honey or fresh fruits for extra sweetness.
