Ingredients:
For the chocolate pie:
- 3 eggs
- 150 g sugar
- 150 ml sunflower oil
- 150 ml milk
- 200 g self-rising flour
- 50 g unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the syrup:
- 250 ml water
- 200 g sugar
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
Optional: vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, fresh berries
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until fluffy. Add the oil, milk, vanilla, and mix well.
- Sift the flour, cocoa, and baking powder and gradually add them to the wet ingredients. Mix until smooth.
- Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and bake for about 25 minutes.
- Meanwhile, prepare the syrup: In a small pot, bring the water, sugar, and cocoa to a boil. Let it simmer for 3–4 minutes and remove from heat.
- When the pie is out of the oven, immediately pour the hot syrup over it and let it soak for at least 10–15 minutes.
- Serve warm or at room temperature with ice cream, whipped cream, or fresh berries.
