Chocolate Pie – The Perfect Sweet

This decadent chocolate pie is the perfect sweet treat with a soft, syrupy texture and deep cocoa flavor. Enjoy it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, some whipped cream, or fresh berries. It’s the ultimate dessert for any occasion.

Ingredients:

For the chocolate pie:

  • 3 eggs
  • 150 g sugar
  • 150 ml sunflower oil
  • 150 ml milk
  • 200 g self-rising flour
  • 50 g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

For the syrup:

  • 250 ml water
  • 200 g sugar
  • 2 tbsp cocoa powder

Optional: vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, fresh berries

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the eggs with the sugar until fluffy. Add the oil, milk, vanilla, and mix well.
  3. Sift the flour, cocoa, and baking powder and gradually add them to the wet ingredients. Mix until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish and bake for about 25 minutes.
  5. Meanwhile, prepare the syrup: In a small pot, bring the water, sugar, and cocoa to a boil. Let it simmer for 3–4 minutes and remove from heat.
  6. When the pie is out of the oven, immediately pour the hot syrup over it and let it soak for at least 10–15 minutes.
  7. Serve warm or at room temperature with ice cream, whipped cream, or fresh berries.
