With its creamy texture and sweet flavor, this egg-based recipe is the perfect choice for a dessert that will impress!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>4 eggs<\/li>\n<li>1 cup sugar<\/li>\n<li>2 cups milk<\/li>\n<li>1 vanilla pod or 1 teaspoon vanilla extract<\/li>\n<li>1\/2 cup sugar for the caramel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Instructions:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Preheat your oven to 160\u00b0C (320\u00b0F).<\/li>\n<li>In a saucepan, place 1\/2 cup of sugar and heat over medium heat until it melts and turns into caramel (be careful not to burn it).<\/li>\n<li>Once the caramel reaches a golden color, carefully pour it into the bottom of the molds (or baking dish) you&#8217;re using for the cr\u00e8me caramel.<\/li>\n<li>In a bowl, whisk the eggs with the remaining 1 cup of sugar and vanilla until the mixture is smooth and fluffy.<\/li>\n<li>Heat the milk in a saucepan (do not let it boil), and slowly pour it into the egg mixture, stirring constantly.<\/li>\n<li>Pour the mixture into the molds over the caramel.<\/li>\n<li>Place the molds in a large baking dish and add water around them (about halfway up the sides of the molds).<\/li>\n<li>Bake for 45-50 minutes or until the custard is set and a toothpick comes out clean from the center.<\/li>\n<li>Allow the cr\u00e8me caramel to cool and then refrigerate it for at least 2 hours before serving.<\/li>\n<li>To serve, run a knife around the edges of the molds and carefully invert them onto a plate.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><strong>Enjoy!<\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Cr\u00e8me caramel is a dessert beloved in many kitchens around the world.
